This policy is for members of our book club who are between 13 and 17 years old.

  • Email address (or a parent’s/guardian’s email, if required)

  • Age or grade level

  • Book preferences or reading history

  • Participation information (meeting attendance, discussion input, etc.)

 

 

We do not collect sensitive data (like home addresses, photos, or location) without express permission from a parent or guardian.

We use the information to:

 

  • Organize and schedule book club meetings

  • Recommend books based on your interests

For members under 13 years of age, we require a parent or guardian’s permission before collecting or using any personal information. We may request an email address of a parent/guardian for this purpose.

  • New book selections or discussion topics

  • Adult organizers or facilitators of the club

If the club meets or communicates online (via email, Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.), we take care to use safe, moderated platforms. Teens are encouraged to follow safe online behavior, and we provide guidance if needed.

We store personal information securely and only keep it as long as necessary to manage the club. We limit access to organizers only.

You and your parent/guardian have the right to:
